Purchasing and Logistics Executive required to provide a world-class service to our client's customers (both internal and external) in respect of their requirements for logistics through professional, cost-effective and dynamic solutions, whilst maintaining the goals of the organisation in a highly focussed teamwork environment.

The Purchasing and Logistics Executive role offered is primarily in the purchasing function and involves close liaison with both external customers and internal departments to ensure all customer requirements are met to the time, quality and cost required.

What You Will Be Doing




  • Negotiate with new and existing suppliers on availability, delivery and rates for goods

  • Oversee purchasing operations to maximise their efficiency and cost

  • Process goods into stock control and communicate with accounts department for accurate data recording

  • Communicate verbally and in writing with internal and external stakeholders

  • Liaise with Warehouse and Workshop teams regarding goods received processes, shortages and/or stock discrepancies

  • General purchasing administrative duties including generating and compiling numerical and administrative reports for Line Manager

  • Provide training and support to new or temporary purchasing staff

  • Troubleshooting any concerns related to purchasing operations in general and using initiative to seek appropriate solutions

  • Create, manage, review and revise departmental procedures to ensure alignment with company standards

  • Perform any other duties as assigned by Line Manager



What You Will Need to Succeed In This Role




  • Experience in Customer Service/Customer facing role desirable

  • Knowledge of orders, purchase orders, and verbal follow up with suppliers

  • Purchasing experience - purchasing from suppliers and service providers desirable

  • Awareness of supply chain and logistics terms

  • Fluent (written and spoken) English & Spanish is ideal

  • Driving License

  • Computer Literate - MS Office

  • Strong understanding of purchasing processes and inventory management

  • Ability to work as part of a team, and the ability to work on their own with minimal supervision

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills - the ability to convey information clearly and concisely

  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other professional staff

  • Adapt and respond positively to change

  • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines

  • Attention to detail, numerical & analytical skills

  • Ability to identify and resolve problems/issues effectively in a fast-paced environment
