Teach Plus are currently working with a primary school in Barnet who are looking for experienced Teaching Assistants.

They are committed to providing children of nursery and primary school ages with a child centred learning environment where all children flourish socially, emotionally, academically, physically and spiritually.

For this Teaching Assistant role, you will be expected to support in small groups or on a one-to-one basis with SEN at nursery or KS2.

You will need to cover classes for the teacher's absence from EYFS, KS1, and KS2.

As a Teaching Assistant you will need to demonstrate initiative and enthusiasm and have excellent literacy and numeracy skills.

You will need to have a level 3 qualification or similar amount of experience and should have carried out of a level 3 Teaching Assistant tole and experience covering on an ad-hoc basis.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to:

• Support pupils learning needs with pupils with SEN


• Assist with planning learning activities


• Carry out work, care and support programmes for pupils, under the guidance of the class teacher.


• Support pupils with challenging behaviour and provide different strategies to support their needs.


• Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their individual needs.


• Monitor and record pupils' progress, achievements and responses in respect of all learning activities and teaching programmes.


• Assist with supervision of pupils out of lesson times which include before and after school and lunch times.

The ideal candidate for a Teaching Assistant will have:

• CACHE Level 3 childcare or teaching assistant qualification


• Experience in Nursery, KS1 or KS2


• Enhanced DBS on the update service - Child workforce


• Right to work within the UK


• Overseas criminal clearance
