SEN Teaching Assistant must be able to work Full Time.


Salary: £90 - £130 a day depending on experience as a SEN TA.

Teach Plus are currently working with a mainstream primary school who is currently seeking experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to join their team for September.

The nurturing spirit of the school helps pupils to excel in all aspects of school life.


As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to support pupils with SEN who need additional support with their social, emotional and physical needs.

You will play a crucial role in educating and supporting children with challenging behaviours within the school provision.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of these students.



As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be required to:



  • Experience working with children, particularly those with special needs or autism.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Proficient in challenging behaviour management.

  • Experience in tutoring small classes of students with ASD or ADHD.

  • Advantageous: Positive behaviour management, restraint training, or a background in support roles.

  • Advantageous: Experience tutoring within SEN schools or provisions.

  • Ability to connect with students on a personal level, demonstrating a firm yet caring nature.

  • Familiarity with special education practices and strategies.



The ideal candidate for a SEN Teaching Assistant will have:



  • Have experience supporting pupils with SEN - ASD and ADHD

  • CACHE level 3 Teaching and Learning support in schools

  • Enhanced DBS on the update service

  • Right to work within the UK

  • Overseas criminal clearance
