Salary: £95 - £140 a day

Teach Plus are currently working with a mainstream primary school in Brent who are seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to support across KS1 or KS2.

This school is a warm, vibrant, successful independent prep school where senior management are supportive to colleagues to progress by providing additional training.

For this Teaching Assistant role, you must have a good level of numeracy and literacy skills to support pupils to reach their for potential.

You may be expected to support students in small groups or one-to-one basis with SEN.

As a teaching assistant you will need to have the passion of supporting pupils with various need and have strong communication skills with a collaborative mindset.

As a Teaching Assistant you will be required to:

• Setting up the classroom for lessons and providing a safe learning environment where pupils can learn.


• Lead Interventions in reading, writing and Phonics


• Writing observations on children's progress and relaying to the class teacher to put suitable next steps in place for that pupil


• Following targets on their EHCP plan and ensuring pupils are safe and happy within the environment


• Creating different learning materials needed for lessons/activities


• Assist with personal care and toilet training


• Use different communication tools such a PECS to communicate pupils and resources needed for pupils daily routines

The ideal candidate for a Teaching Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting in KS1 or KS2


• Experience supporting pupils with SEN


• Enhanced DBS - Must be on the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.


• Overseas criminal clearance


• Right to work within the UK
