Salary: £90 -£ 140 a day

Teach Plus are currently working with mainstream primary schools in the Barnet area seeking experienced learning support assistants.

For this Learning support assistant role, you will be expected to work on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with SEN.

You will need to be nurturing, calm to be able to understand the needs of the pupils, working with the class teacher to put behaviour support plans in place to meet the needs of the child, set up creative activities where pupils can learn through play, observer and monitor pupils progress.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be required to:

• Track pupils progress through observations and relaying back to the class teacher


• Support on a one-to-one basis with a pupil with SEN


• Make resources needed for lessons and activities


• Supervise during play and meal times


• Communicate with parents regarding progress of pupils development

The ideal candidate for a Learning Support Assistant will have:

• Experience supporting Pupils with SEN


• Trained using PECS and Makaton


• Enhanced DBS on the update service


• Right to work within the UK


• Overseas criminal clearance
