Financial Accountant - Investments | Commercial Office | Gibraltar | c£40 -45,000k plus benefits DOE | Hybrid option 1 day per week

Financial Accountant required for an expanding commercial Investments office based in Gibraltar.

As the Financial Accountant you will assist in the production of monthly management accounts for the investment holding companies.

You will ideally be ACA, ACCA or similar qualified or near qualifying with advanced excel skills.

The company manages investment portfolios consisting of a variety of assets including a full liquid asset portfolio and some real estate.

This role requires the use of a portfolio management database with a conversion of data to an accounting platform, hence the successful candidate will have strong technical expertise and be familiar with utilising databases.

What You Will Be Doing

• Maintain the offices bespoke portfolio management database.


• Verify financial data used in the processing of monthly managements accounts.


• Maintain reconciliations of financial data to management accounts.


• Perform month end closing procedures and support the reporting process.


• Assist in all aspects of accounting and general ledger to create journals, including revaluations of assets.


• Assist with year-end audits and work with the Audit team as required


• Support Directors/management with any ad hoc reporting.

What You Will Need to Succeed in This Role

• At least 3 years' experience in a similar finance role.


• ACA, ACCA or CIMA or similar qualified or near to qualifying.


• Knowledge of Microsoft office.


• Advanced Excel skills.


• Bookkeeping skills.


• Knowledge of Xero accounting package an advantage.


• Knowledge of investment securities advantageous.


• Attention to detail and self-motivated.
