Structural Engineer

We are seeking a Structural Engineer for a 7-week contract based in Carryduff, Belfast.

This role involves utilizing Tekla Structures to deliver a mix of structural steel and architectural metalwork projects for a leading steelwork contractor.

You will lead the design and detailing of structural steel (60%) and architectural metalwork (40%) packages.

Start Date: Mid May
Rate: £250.00 per day
Hours: 39 hours per week (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Mon-Thu | 8:40 AM - 4:00 PM Fri)
Contract: 7 Weeks
Location: Carryduff, Belfast (Office-based)

Key Responsibilities:

• Producing technical designs and calculations for a variety of steel projects.


• Utilizing Tekla Structures for 3D modeling and drawing production.


• Ensuring all designs comply with relevant Eurocodes and British Standards.


• Collaborating with the detailing and production teams to resolve technical hurdles.


• Managing project timelines to ensure delivery within the 7-week contract window.

Requirements:

• Essential: Proven experience as a Structural Engineer within the steelwork sector.


• Essential: High level of proficiency in Tekla Structures.


• Strong background in both structural steel and architectural metalwork.
