Chief Accountant - Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join a leading Retail & F&B company based in Riyadh.

The ideal candidate will oversee all accounting functions, bring strong financial analytical capabilities, deep expertise in managing Profit & Loss (P&L) statements, and the ability to support strategic business decisions through accurate financial insights.

Arabic language proficiency is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the full accounting cycle, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month-end/year-end closing processes
• Prepare, analyze, and present detailed P&L statements and financial reports to senior management
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization and revenue growth
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes
• Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance across retail and F&B operations
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and strategic initiatives
• Manage audits and liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies
• Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets

Experience, skills and attributes for this role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, ACCA, or CMA preferred)
• Minimum 8–10 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within Retail or F&B sectors
• Strong expertise in financial analysis and P&L management
• Proven leadership experience managing accounting teams
• Advanced proficiency in accounting systems and ERP software
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
• Fluency in Arabic and English (both written and spoken)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Salary package offered: SAR21-23k pm all inclusive plus medical insurance, year tickets, work visa and annual leave.
