Head of Engineering

Location: Germany, location flexible.

European travel required.

Salary: €70,000 – €85,000 + performance bonus

Languages: Fluent German and English required

An exciting opportunity to join a growing European hospitality group as Head of Engineering, leading technical operations across a portfolio of hotels.

This is a senior leadership role combining engineering strategy, project delivery, and operational excellence in a fast-paced international environment.

The Role

• Lead engineering, maintenance, and technical operations across multiple hotel properties.
• Oversee renovations, refurbishments, rebranding projects, and new hotel developments.
• Drive CAPEX projects, infrastructure improvements, and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Develop and implement technical standards across the hotel portfolio.
• Lead and support on-site engineering teams and external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety, building regulations, and sustainability standards.
• Partner closely with Operations, Development, and Finance teams to support business growth.

About You

• Previous experience in a senior engineering or technical leadership role within hospitality, real estate, or multi-site operations.
• Strong knowledge of building services, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety systems.
• Proven experience managing projects, budgets, and contractors.
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Willingness to travel across the European hotel portfolio.
• Fluent German and English are essential.
