An opportunity has arisen for a Java Developer to join a specialist cyber technology and software assurance company supporting UK Defence and Critical National Infrastructure programmes.

As a Java Developer, you will develop and enhance secure Java applications, backend services and system integrations within a restricted environment.

This is a 12-month contract based role offering a salary range of £600 - £650 per day and benefits.

You will be responsible for:



* Developing and enhancing Java-based backend services.


* Designing and implementing secure, scalable applications.


* Building and integrating RESTful APIs.


* Working with microservices architectures.


* Collaborating with engineers, architects and relevant stakeholders.


* Work within an Agile development environment


* Contributing to the development of technology supporting UK national security operations


What we are looking for



* Previously worked as a Java Developer or in a similar role.




* Active Enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) security clearance is essential.


* Strong experience in Java development.


* Prior experience working in secure, government or national security environments.


* Background working with microservices.


* Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs and backend services.


* Experience working within Agile development teams.


Desirable:



* Familiarity with Spring or Spring Boot.


* Knowledge of Docker or Kubernetes.


* Experience with CI/CD processes.


* Familiarity with AWS or Azure.
