JOB DESCRIPTION
GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:
The Field Operations Manager (FOM) will report directly to the Regional Business Manager (RBM).
In this role, the FOM will oversee $30 Million+ in annual self-performed revenue.
The FOM will also review and approve proposals, expense reports, specifications (SOW), PTO requests, etc., for all WTI field operations personnel within the specified region.
The FOM will be responsible for the safety, quality, and overall productivity and profitability of self-performing teams.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
All Field Supervisors, General Field Superintendents, and Project Managers will report directly to the FOM.
Through leadership and actions, contribute to the development of a Safety-Oriented Culture that will result in 100% compliance with Toolbox Talk attendance, DTA reporting, and truck audits; and have work habits that will lead to ZERO safety-related incidents on ALL projects within the region.
Provide training, supervision, direction, and support for all Supervisors, General Field Superintendents, and Project Managers within the regions in areas as follows: Estimating Pre-job planning Project Management to expedite projects safely, under budget, and with the highest attainable quality and customer satisfaction.
Leadership and coaching of their respective Foremen/teams.
Coordination and collaboration with Construction Managers and GC Superintendents on GC-related work.
Sales communication and coordination. Workforce planning, recruiting and retention strategy to maintain optimum performance of the region. Approve proposals for PR, CONPR, and Safety Solutions related work up to $50K.
Travel within the Region as needed to attend customer, sales, or business meetings.
Communicate on a regular basis with RBM regarding: Safety compliance results Project approvals, progress, and results Personnel updates Forecast, analyze, and report on sales and establish financial performance metrics.
Establish criteria for success and provide leadership for the regional team's goal achievement. Provide training and QA/QC inspections at all levels at all levels of work to ensure the highest standards or Tremco/WTI roofing/facade practices to include: Field Applications - existing and new materials, systems, application parameters, etc. Customer Service Reporting compliance
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
10+ years prior experience in a results-oriented leadership role for a regional, cross-functional team within the building construction industry. Experience taking on strategic initiatives where previous experience may not have been present and engaging to grow the initiative within the business. Prior experience leading a large staff in remote multi-state locations. Experience in an influential role where extraordinary results were achieved through accountability and leading others to achieve and maintain a high standard of performance. Prior experience clearly defining expectations, articulating ideas, thoughts, and views, and providing continual, timely, frank, and direct feedback to others. Proven experience with setting strategy and establishing plans for business growth. Prior experience working between multiple departments that support regional compliance and profitability. Must have prior hands-on experience with handling business transactions, procedures, and practices, including but not limited to pricing, company vehicles, safety, order entry, estimating, general contracting procedures, designation, and duties of employees, warranties, quality assurance practices, service offerings, etc.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Can service customers in a compliant and financially solvent manner Intermediate skills with financial data and mathematics (understanding of statistics, business metrics, gross margin, operating income, cost management, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to make professional presentations to others Must have excellent organizational skills to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-resolution skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all personality types Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, etc.
Must be able to use technology to perform company tasks (expense management, timekeeping systems, intranet, etc.) The salary range for applicants in this position generally ranges between $100,000 and $130,000 + bonus.

Tremco Roofing and Building Maintenance is currently searching for a Field Sales Support Specialist in Springfield, IL.
The Field Support Specialist works closely with the Commercial Roofing Sales Representative to support and increase the sales activity in the Sales Representative's region.
Maintains accounts through prospecting, closing, and providing solid market presence including serving customers.
Developing Business
Preparing and/or distributing marketing materials
Inspection and evaluation of the property
Preparing roof drawings and sketches
Preparing scope of work documents
Preparing proposals
Attending sales calls
Pricing patch and repair jobs
Providing technical expertise
Attending meetings with the architect, contractor and/or owner
Managing Accounts
Identifying, analyzing, resolving problems
Preparing reports to owners regarding the condition of roofs.
Project site visits to monitor installation of Tremco roofing products
Identification of any aspect of installation that does not comply with specifications
Review and resolve concerns of architects, contractors and owners regarding Tremco's installation instructions
Coordinating visits with contractors
Preparing reports on progress and problems for the Sales Representative.
QA/ QA+ inspections
Tremcare Gold Service (periodic visual inspection with minor repairs being addressed where detected on Tremco warranted roofs only).
Identifying and troubleshooting problems arising during installation and the lifecycle of the roof
May occasionally perform patch and repair work for small leaks that can be performed quickly after identifying the leak and other infrequent, limited physical labor.
May also perform minor maintenance (caulking, flashing touch up, applying small amounts of mastic, removing debris, etc.) to prevent potential leaks.
Other Work
This work may include but is not limited to:
Conducting diagnostic infra-red scans of roofs
Taking photographs
Preparing CADD drawings
Delivering or picking up samples, documents or small products from/to architects, owners and contractors.
Education and/or Experience:
Minimum: Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or combination of education and experience.
Must have a minimum of two to three years of related hands-on experience and/or training in a similar role.
Prior sales and/or customer related experience in roofing industry required.Qualifications:
Thorough understanding and application of roofing and waterproofing contracting standards.
Experience with MS Word, Excel and familiarity with CADD
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to build relationships and deliver exceptional customer service.
Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business and technical information, e.g.
professional journals and periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ensure designs meet requirements, industry standards, and best engineering practice.
Produce CAD models, drawings, and supporting documentation (PDS, DVP, compliance reports, etc.).
Collaborate with manufacturing, production engineering, purchasing, applications, testing, quality, and project management teams.
Undertake calculations and computational studies to validate designs.
Provide mentorship to junior engineers to strengthen their technical skills.
Approve concessions and first-off parts, raise engineering change requests, and support new product launches.
Domestic and occasional international travel as required.
Essential Requirements
Proven experience in a Senior Design Engineer role.
Degree in Mechanical or Electromechanical Engineering.
Proficiency with SolidWorks and experience in SolidWorks EPDM is advantageous.
Broad engineering knowledge, including castings, mouldings, machined components, and assembly techniques.
Understanding of lathes, milling machine tolerances, and manufacturing processes.
Experience with APQP (D&P-FMEA, PPAP) and ERP systems (Priority, IFS, SAP, or similar).
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
Strong IT skills, including MS Office and Teams.
Desirable Skills
Chartered Engineer status.
Knowledge of electrical rotating machines, gear theory, and drive trains.
PCB design experience.
Understanding of UKCA, CE, UL, IP, and EMC approvals.
Experience with KissSoft or MotorSolve software.
Lean manufacturing / 6S experience.

The role is a full-time, ongoing position until at least the end of the academic year.
The hours of work are 8.20am - 4pm.
