I am seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant General Manager to support the overall leadership and operation of a busy international restaurant.

This role is ideal for a hospitality professional with strong front-line experience who is ready to develop their commercial, operational, and people-management skills.

Working closely with the General Manager, you will help deliver outstanding guest experiences, maintain operational standards, support team development, and contribute to the restaurant’s ongoing success.

The role also offers a clear pathway for an ambitious leader who aspires to progress into a General Manager position.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager with the effective day-to-day operation of the restaurant.
• Lead by example across front-of-house and back-of-house operations.
• Maintain high standards of service, product quality, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction.
• Support the implementation of company policies, procedures, and operational initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure consistent delivery and strong communication.
• Coach, motivate, and develop managers and team members.
• Help identify operational challenges and recommend practical solutions.
• Contribute to achieving financial, commercial, staffing, and guest-experience objectives.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Respond professionally to guest feedback and help resolve issues effectively.
• Take responsibility for the operation in the General Manager’s absence.
• Support continuous improvement and demonstrate the potential to progress to General Manager level.

Experience and Qualifications

• Proven experience in hospitality, including hands-on restaurant or front-line operations.
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant, café, bar, branded dining concept, or similar customer-facing environment.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Culinary Arts, Hospitality, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Previous experience supervising or managing teams is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of guest service, operational standards, and team leadership.
