Yard / Warehouse Operative Location: Buckfastleigh
Salary: £13.50 per hour
Shifts: Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 4:30pm ________________________________________________________________________
About the Role
We are recruiting for a Yard / Warehouse Operative to join a well-established British manufacturer based in Buckfastleigh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected local company known for producing high-quality metal products.
Working across the warehouse and yard environment, you will be responsible for handling stock, loading and unloading vehicles, supporting deliveries, and maintaining a safe and organised site, while supporting efficient day-to-day operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Loading and unloading materials, products and deliveries

  • Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch

  • Carrying out stock control and goods-in/goods-out duties

  • Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently

  • Maintaining a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard area

About You
Essential:

  • Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence

  • Previous warehouse, stores or yard experience

  • Ability to work safely and effectively in a busy environment

  • Full UK driving licence and ability to meet the company's vehicle insurance requirements




Desirable:

  • Reach Truck Licence or experience

  • Previous manufacturing or engineering environment experience

  • Experience using stock control systems
