Salary: £17.00 per hour
Shifts: Tuesday to Saturday

About the Role
We are recruiting for a Chef to join our client's Café, based in Buckfastleigh.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a popular café known for its quality food, welcoming atmosphere, and commitment to using fresh ingredients.
Working within a busy kitchen environment, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals, maintaining excellent food hygiene standards, and supporting the day-to-day operation of the kitchen while delivering a great customer experience.
Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing and cooking breakfast, lunch and daily specials to a high standard

  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and health & safety standards

  • Managing food preparation and ensuring efficient kitchen operations

  • Monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering and stock rotation

  • Working collaboratively with the front of house and kitchen team to deliver excellent service

About You


Essential:

  • Previous experience working as a Chef in a café, restaurant or hospitality setting

  • Strong knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety practices

  • Ability to work efficiently in a busy kitchen environment

  • Passion for producing high-quality fresh food



Desirable:

  • Food Hygiene Certificate

  • Experience creating daily specials and seasonal menu items

  • Experience within a café or daytime dining environment
