Marketing/Business Development Manager


A Marketing/Business Development Manager is required for an established structural steel company in North Yorkshire.

Salary Package: £40,000
Main Duties:



  • Define and deliver marketing initiatives that generate new sales and develop opportunities with existing clients.

  • Work closely with the key account and Contract Director to grow our account-based marketing (ABM) capability.

  • Conduct research, understand ecosystems, and expand relationships to ensure our company is front-of-mind for new contracts.

  • Maintain regular, relevant, and timely contact with existing and prospective clients, including developers, project managers, architects, engineers, surveyors, and supply chain managers.

  • Deliver leads, opportunities, and meetings with clients and prospects for the senior management team.

  • Identify the most active workstreams (locally and nationally) and target accordingly - hospitals, schools, warehousing, power, green energy, etc.

  • Manage the Pre Qualification Questionnaire process within the business.

  • Collaborate with Key Account Managers on campaign plans to drive measurable demand for our services.

  • Execute campaign activity across multiple channels using all available marketing tools and technology (CRM, CMS, virtual event software, automation and sales enablement platforms).

  • Ensure adherence to brand guidelines, house style, and tone of voice.

  • Participate in regular team meetings to ensure alignment.

  • Share best practice insight with the sales team and estimators as relevant.

  • Plan and deliver events for customers and prospects - factory visits, entertainment, conferences, webinars, etc.

  • Attend management meetings and contribute to the strategy for Marketing and Business Development.

  • Attend networking events.

  • Manage NOF Partnership.
